About me
I’m Lucy Skye - I live and work amidst the wild beauty of Dartmoor, a place where I feel deeply connected to the land, lore and history. My approach focuses on enabling people to tap into their individual strengths to manage challenges, and create strong pathways to their dreams and goals.
As an experienced counsellor, I support clients facing a wide range of challenges, particularly trauma, domestic abuse, and relationship issues. Many of those I work with identify as LGBTQ+.
I am a humanistic therapist and work integratively, holding your needs at heart. I have particular expertise in supporting trauma, and use Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic/body and breathwork, creative and transpersonal methods in my work.
I also work as a supervisor for counsellors and health and social care practitioners, and offer mentoring and coaching sessions. I am motivated to support individual growth and change, expanding horizons and belief in potential, and currently lecture in counselling at South Devon College.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 20 years advocating for and supporting individuals and families with neurodiversity and disability needs. Over the years, I’ve led workshops, coaching sessions, and training for teams across public, private, and third-sector organisations.
My natural being thrives in the outdoors and wildness. I find a sense of place and purpose within the world. Being able to bring this into my work and support the growth and change and confidence of my clients and mentees is transformative.
